We met at Catholic University when Trevor was my orientation advisor. Seven years later, Trevor proposed to me in the olive grove of the villa we were staying at in the Chianti region of Italy.
We were married at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church earlier in the day before heading over to Big Spring Farm for the reception. Even though it was raining, it was still a beautiful day! We had about 125 guests and the barn was a perfect place to celebrate with all of them. Cocktail hour was on the patio with dinner and dancing inside, finished off with s’mores by the fire.

The location! It was intimate yet secluded. It was perfect to celebrate our wedding in the Lexington countryside.
The lights–I loved the old-fashioned Edison bulbs that were hung up above the dance floor. They felt like fairy lights!
Coordinating all of the details–we had a day-of-coordinator, Shelby Griffin from Harvest Moon, who was amazing and was the biggest help!
The catering and day-of-coordinator–Harvest Moon went above and beyond for us! The DJ from Bela Sono, Ryan, was also the best and played the perfect music for every moment. Amanda Veronee, our florist, additionally made the most beautiful flower arrangements and bouquets. Finally, Molly Scott was the most amazing photographer we could have ever asked for! She got soaking wet standing in the pouring rain to get pictures of us, not to mention that her pictures were perfect!
The best thing about marriage is building a life together formed around the same values and aspirations, while the hardest part is figuring out who does laundry and when!
A legacy for adventure! Nothing is more fun for us than exploring the world.
