If your dream venue includes a stunning 19th century barn, mountain views, and a waterfront ceremony site, then Big Spring Farm was made for you. Our name sake, the "Big Spring", is one of the largest natural springs in the state, forming a pristine 10-acre lake at the center of our property. In 2010, the farm house and barn were taken down to their original post and beam structures and have been meticulously rebuilt, melding traditional and modern styling, favoring natural light and custom accents.

Details about Big spring Farm

Just a short drive from Washington D.C., Charlottesville, and Richmond awaits an oasis in the mountains, perfect for your special event.

It is that juxtaposition between classic and comfortable that make every event here unforgettable. Stand on the barn patio and watch the springs bubble to the surface of the lake, drink in hand. Climb to the hilltop fields, for stunning views of the Kerrs Creek valley. We can't wait for you to come and experience the beauty of Big Spring Farm for yourself.

Big Spring is the fruition of a dream we've had for a long time. From our wedding at a private farm in the Shenandoah Valley, to starting our own sustainable livestock farm, to photographing weddings around the world, we've found that our deepest passions lie in caring for the land and celebrating the covenant of marriage. It has been a complete joy to see Big Spring become a place where both of those things happen in harmony. Yes, the farm is our home, but in many ways it's home for all the couples that start a new chapter of their life here. We love seeing each unique event come to life at Big Spring and we love that our family gets to play a small part in each couples story!
