In the mountains of Virginia, there are few things better than when the air starts to get cooler and the leaves begin to fade from the vibrant green of summer to the golden oranges, reds, and yellows of fall. Even better than fall in Virginia is enjoying the beauty with friends, old and new.
After, our Summer Supper in June, we quickly began making plans for another event in the fall and what a fun night it was! With another excellent meal by John of Chef’s Catering and pies from Woodruff’s Store in Monroe, Virginia, we shared local fare with friends inside the barn for a spectacular night. Burr Datz joined us again to share his music as we ate together. And of course, the bourbon tasting was by fair a highlight!
Not only was the food wonderful, but the community was great. We loved seeing our guests fight their competitive nature as they played corn hole together, chat around the fire, and cheer each other on as friends tried to succeed at the ring toss on the barn post! It was truly a great night to meet new people and experience the tastes and views of our beautiful Virginia.
